Keuka Lake Wine Trail's "Freezin' For A Reason" to collect donations in support of Foodlink
December 1, 2016 (Penn Yan, NY) - Through the month of December, the seven member wineries of The Keuka Lake Wine Trail (KLWT) are supporting Foodlink of Rochester by collecting monetary donations through the first annual Freezin' for a Reason. By donating $5 or more per person, visitors will earn a complimentary tasting per person at that particular winery. A limited number of Freezin' for a Reason t-shirts are available for purchase ($15) at each winery, with proceeds from sales going to Foodlink.
Foodlink is a regional food hub and the Feeding America food bank serving Allegany, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Wayne, Wyoming, and Yates counties. Their mission is to end hunger and to leverage the power of food to build a healthier community.
"It's important as the holidays approach to keep those less fortunate in mind," explained KLWT President and McGregor Vineyard Owner, John McGregor. "The Trail is proud to come together in support of such a great community initiative. Foodlink's positive impact spans such a wide area in our state with a mission that helps so many in need," he added.
The fundraiser will run through December 31st at all seven member wineries: Keuka Spring Vineyards, McGregor Vineyard, Ravines Wine Cellars, Heron Hill Winery, Point of the Bluff Vineyards, Hunt Country Vineyards, and Vineyard View Winery. Some winery hours have changed for winter - please check our hours page before you plan your visit!
