Keuka Lake Wine Trail's "Freezin' For A Reason" raises $1,200 in support of Foodlink
February 7, 2017 (Penn Yan, NY) - Through the month of December, the seven member wineries of The Keuka Lake Wine Trail (KLWT) raised $1,200.00 in support of Foodlink of Rochester by collecting monetary donations through the first annual Freezin' for a Reason. By donating $5 or more per person, visitors earned a complimentary tasting per person at that particular winery.
Foodlink is a regional food hub and the Feeding America food bank serving Allegany, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Wayne, Wyoming, and Yates counties. Their mission is to end hunger and to leverage the power of food to build a healthier community.
"The Trail is proud to come together in support of such a great community initiative. Foodlink's positive impact spans such a wide area in our state with a mission that helps so many in need," explained McGregor Vineyard Owner, John McGregor..
The fundraiser will continue in December 2017!
