From casual outdoor music gatherings to choreographed winemaker’s dinners, there are many wonderful opportunities to support and enjoy the wineries along the Keuka Lake Wine Trail.

Music on the Blue Heron Café Terrace Series

Shrimp & Chardonnay

A vertical tasting (consecutive years) of award-winning Keuka Spring Chardonnays with a shrimp cocktail hors d’ouevre. See how buttery overtones in our oak-aged and fermented Chardonnays complement seafood wonderfully. Also continued by popular demand! Enjoy a vertical tasting of Keuka Spring Merlot wines with a mignon appetizer made with Len’s special sauce. Always a favorite occasion. Our library Merlot vintages are available for purchase this day only. The $15 fee covers appetizer, special wine tasting, and Keuka Spring wine glass to take home. Special discounts for Keuka Spring case club members apply and wine club members may attend free of charge.

5th Annual Hunt Country Dog Walk

Back for the fifth year – the Annual Hunt Country Dog Walk! We’re looking forward to seeing friends from last year and to meeting new and amazing dogs (and their people!) this year.

Registration for the event is $10/dog and entitles the dog (and their human!) to unlimited walking time on our beautiful trails through the vineyards and woods and a complimentary standard wine tasting or grape juice for those under 21.  100% of the registration fees go directly to the Shelter of Hope; as well as a portion of our sales for the day.  Additionally, we will once again be selling a commemorative t-shirt and other vendors will be present selling their dog-related goodies.

Music & Wine Series at Keuka Spring Vineyards in August & September

The folks at Keuka Spring Vineyards are looking forward to sharing some good tunes, great wine, and an afternoon with you. The winery will host 3 bands during 4 dates in August and September this summer. Bring your friends and family. Kick back, relax, soak in the view, and enjoy a glass of wine with us while grooving to fun, familiar, & favorite tunes on our patio overlooking Keuka Lake. Music starts around 1 pm and goes for about 2 hours.

Each event will feature Build Your Own Burgers“  or other sandwich with  Blue Heron Acres’ local Kobe beef and Berkshire pork over the lunch hours Music will begin at 1 pm each afternoon, and guest are encouraged to bring chairs, pop-up tents, or blankets to sit on. All events are subject to change based on weather conditions.

Local favorite band Agonal Rhythm kicks off the series on Sunday, July 28th. They are a lively band consisting mainly of doctors and nurses.  Be ready to kick up your heels and have a good time with them.  Next in the series is the band The Distilled on Sunday, August 18. Enjoy this Keuka Lake duet! Featuring familiar soft rock tunes that are sure to soothe while you sip wine with your friends and enjoy the Keuka Lake view. The third date is Kickin’ Back on Saturday, August 31st.  Relax, groove, and sing along with Kickin’ Back’s choice of mellow and fun favorite tunes.  There’s a reason they’ve played here for a number of years. The final date is The Galtee Mountain Boys on Sunday, September 8th. Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day, we invite you to engage in some Irish folk tunes with the boys and their fiddler, straight from the Irish Festival in Rochester.

 

Keuka Spring Vineyards Holiday Barrel Tasting

Keuka Spring Vineyards will host its 5th annual Holiday Barrel Tasting Saturday, December 7 and Sunday, December 8. The event features exclusive, small group barrel tastings in the tank room with Keuka Spring Vineyards’ winemaking team. Tastings will be held at 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm each day.

Reservations are required and tasting sessions fill up quickly. Participants in the barrel tasting will have the opportunity to purchase special pre-released vintages and access to special discounts. Reservations and small fee required. Please call 315-536-3147 to make a reservation.

Hunt Country Twilight Picnic in the Vineyards

Join the Hunt family for a picnic to remember among our beautiful vineyards at twilight.  Enjoy the amazing bounty of Finger Lakes-produced foods, prepared by Jane Russell of Around the Corner Catering, including great locally-raised meats and fresh organic veggies from Jonathan & Caroline Boutard Hunt’s Italy Hill Produce located right here on our farm.

 

Tickets include a glass of Hunt Country wine of your choice (adults) or grape juice (< 21).  Relax and serve yourself food when you wish.  Additional wine will be available at a cash bar by-the-bottle and by-the-glass.  Hunt Country’s Tasting Room and Wine Shop will be open throughout the event.  The Stick Mob, a Washington DC-based band, including vocalist Suzanne Hunt, daughter of owners Art & Joyce Hunt, will provide great live music.

 

During your visit, take a haywagon ride through the vineyards.  A tent will be available for inclement weather.  Free parking.  Seats are limited for this event, so purchase your tickets early at Early Bird prices.

Paws and Pairings





May 31st, 6-10 pm at Heron Hill Winery. Join area restaurants, caterers, cheese creameries, wineries, breweries and a distillery as they combine talents to create a special evening to benefit the FINGER LAKES SPCA.
