All About the

KEuka Lake Wine Trail

Discover our story

Intentional cultivation and growth.

Nestled in the heart of Finger Lakes Wine Country lies Keuka Lake - the birthplace of Finger Lakes' winemaking. Commonly referred to as the Crooked Lake, because of its unique 'Y' shape, Keuka Lake is known for its breathtaking views, lush vineyards, and award-winning wineries.

The Keuka Lake Wine Trail is a 501(c)(6) non-profit membership-based organization located in Penn Yan, NY. We have a long-standing relationship with the Yates County Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center that assist with the administration and marketing of the trail.

Our main purpose is to promote our member wineries and visitation to the Keuka Lake area.

Our trail is smaller in size, but big on impact. We hold endless love and a high respect for Keuka Lake and the surrounding area. We are committed to making high quality Finger Lakes wines that we are proud to share with you.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Keuka Lake Wine Trail

The Keuka Lake Wine Trail was first cultivated under a promise to promote local wineries that have been rooted in Keuka Lake since the late 1800s. In the years since the inception of the KLWT, member wineries have furthered that mission by committing themselves to quality viticulture, and to preserving our vineyards for generations to come. Today, the family-owned wineries of the Keuka Lake Wine Trail are dedicated to producing wines of the highest quality and to making your visit to our area truly enjoyable and memorable.

All our member wineries have their own set hours, but most are open year-round. Seasonal hours may vary.

  • Please visit our detailed resource page for up to date hours, operations and current tasting room policies.
  • The vast majority of visitors to our wineries are couples, foursomes and small groups of family or friends (under 10 people).
  • Friday-Sunday tend to be the busiest days.
  • For a more quieter, less busy experience, try visiting us on weekdays or during the Spring or Winter.
  • All our member wineries are dog friendly! You can bring your friendly, leashed dog to any of the tasting rooms. Many wineries have expansive outdoor space for your pet to enjoy.
  • Children are allowed and welcome to visit the tasting rooms with you. Younger children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Some tasting rooms offer grape juice or non-alcoholic options.
